Last week NPR's "Science Friday" visited City Aquarium to learn the science behind aquarium installations. The NPR (National Public Radio) filmmaker joined Justin Muir on a trip to New Jersey's Merit Imports, a fish wholesaler in Paramus, NJ. There, Justin explained what he looks for when selecting healthy fish -- telltale signs like a fish's desire to eat or the length of time it has been at the seller's facility. Justin also pointed out the various tropical fish and invertebrates, explaining the far places they came from, like the Phillipines, and the environmentally-friendly methods fishermen use to capture them. Afterward, NPR returned to City Aquarium's studio to film an interview with Justin: how he got started in the business and how he ensures that his tanks are "green." To get the full scoop, watch the video this Friday when it debuts on NPR's "Science Friday" website.
